Herpes Prevention
Herpes is most contagious disease when blisters are present, because infected cells could give off (shed) small amounts of the virus at some times.
To Protect Yourself and Others, there are some suggestions:
1. Please do not kissing and intercourse if you have an oral or genital sore. Wash your hands carefully after touching a sore.
2. Talk with Your Partner to find out if he or she is infected. If you have herpes, tell your partner honestly.
3. Having herpes doesn’t mean that you have to stop from having pregnancy or a healthy sex life, but you should be even more careful by practicing safe sex. Use a condom each time when you have sex. You could pass the virus even when sores aren’t present on the skin.
4. If you think you have been exposed or have any of the symptoms of herpes, please talk to the doctor and get tested. Usually, it is often the only way to confirm whether you are infected by the virus.
5. Limit Your Sexual Partners is very import, which will help to reduce your chances of getting herpes when in a monogamous relationship.
